ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Trade Certificate in Welding/Engineering Fabrication
2. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
3. Competent to interpret Welding Symbols.
4. Competent to comply with the requirements of A.S. 1554.1
5. Competent with the setup and adjustment of welding equipment and associated tools
6. Ability to work in a team environment.
7. Good communicator
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
1. S.A.A. Welding Certificate, AS 1796 1, 1E, 3 & 3E (or equivalent)
2. Familiar with materials used in fabrication work
3. Familiar with the following Welding Methodologies Manual Metal Arc, MIG, TIG, Sub-merged Arc Welding.
4. Awareness of AS/ANZ ISO 9002.
5. Knowledge of A.S. 1554.5 (or equivalent)
6. Additional Skills: Forklift Ticket, Overhead Crane Ticket, HR Truck Licence, Work at Heights Qualification, Confined Space Access Ticket, Elevating Work Platform Ticket, Intermediate Rigging Ticket, Black Coal Competencies.
7. Type of work General fabrication workshop experience, up to 20MM

RESPONSIBILITIES:
To fabricate, repair and maintain items as indicated on instructions, drawings and sketches.
To ensure work conducted is of a high standard and meets the requirements as indicated on the work instructions provided.
DUTIES:
To conduct work as directed by the Workshop Manager, Site Foreman or leading hand
QUALITY RESPONSIBILITY:
To ensure all work conducted is in accordance with relevant procedures and instructions.
To report any non-conformances identified in the course of carrying out assigned duties.
