This health facility is a 986 bed general hospital which fulfils a significant teaching and research role with links to Queensland's major tertiary institutions. It has recently undergone a major redevelopment program where the majority of the two hospitals clinical services have been rebuilt making it the largest hospital redevelopment in Australia's history.
Your key responsibilities as Senior Staff Specialist at the Internal Medicine Day Treatment Unit are to provide clinical services and medical leadership in the discipline of General Medicine; supervise and educate undergraduates and postgraduates who are training in general medicine; the Director of Internal Medicine and Aged Care to manage the resources of the department to best meet clinical workload and financial targets; and to actively participate in quality assurance and continuing education. Expected salary is between $250,000 - $376,000 AUD with an attractive relocation allowance
