Our clients are specialists in the Sale and Support of Gas Engines throughout New Zealand. They participate in a unique area of New Zealand’s power generation and oil/gas industries providing specialised products and technical services to their customers New Zealand wide.
An additional service engineer is required to join the team. Your duties will be to carry out planned maintenance and repairs on large gas fuelled engines, some nation wide travel will be necessary and you will be expected to join the after hours call out roster.
You will need to be trade qualified and have a background in automotive, diesel, marine or a related field and be familiar with medium speed piston engines. Experience and the ability to diagnose and trouble shoot spark ignition and electronic systems will be greatly rewarded. A high degree of English skills are required as is the ability to communicate well with people at all levels in the industry.
This position will suit a competent heavy duty mechanic who is looking to learn a new technology in a different and interesting industry sector. The company offers a very competitive salary package along with a company vehicle, medical insurance and generous Kiwisaver contributions.
