Senior Town Planner

Our client is looking for a town planner who is looking for a sea change, and job security. With the ability to work flexible work hours, this location and role will suit any qualified individual.
Your duties will include assessment of development applications in accordance with PIA, pre-lodgement negotiations, undertaking site inspections, preparation of executive correspondence and mentoring of junior staff. Other responsibilities will include liaising with government departments, planning industry professionals, development and construction companies and private developers.
High level development applications, such as town centres, shopping centres, large industrial, etc, will make up some of your project work. Other work will include appeals, without prejudice negotiations, and negotiating infrastructure agreements.
To be successful in this role you will possess a degree in town planning and be eligible for PIA membership. You will have at least five years demonstrated experience and have a combination of public and private sector experience. You will be familiar with Queensland legislation and have some Queensland based work experience.
