Our client is a technologically-driven engineering-project house serving the minerals and metals industries worldwide, covering mining, minerals and metals processing, ferroalloys, mineral salts, environmental protection, bulk-materials handling and water and effluent treatment.
Due to continued and outstanding growth they are looking to appoint to their Brisbane based team a Senior Estimator
To be successful with your application you would need possess significant estimating experience in a design office ideally within mining / minerals processing projects, Oil & Gas experience would be considered, you will also possess advanced computer skills.
Scope of work will include but is not limited to the following;
Lead and assist where requested in the preparation of capital cost estimates;
Experience in development of different classes of estimates and their appropriate application (i.e. parametric, first principles, etc),
Estimating construction man hours for input into a construction schedule & developing quantities from engineered drawings, list and specifications.
Develop labour and material rates;
Produce Quantity Take Offs;
Input estimate data into our clients estimating system;
Assist with the on-going development of the estimating system and procedures;
Develop factored estimates where required;
It is also expected that you will possess an engineering degree or equivalent and have a fundamental understanding of engineering.
You will have excellent interpersonal, organisational, written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
