Our Client
As a leading engineering consultancy, our client has maintained and developed their project portfolio across various resource, oil & gas and infrastructure. As this greenfield development gains momentum our client is looking to appoint a site based Quality Superintendent / Lead to successfully develop and implement quality systems on site.
The Role
Reporting to the Perth based Quality Manager, as well as liaising with the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for:
• Tailoring existing systems for practical site use.
• Establishing control mechanisms
• Auditing internal and external Quality Systems to ensure accuracy and implementation
• Regular review of the implementation of the Project Quality Plan and defined processes & tools within the projects
• Ensuring that the project management team understands the implications of the contract requirements regarding Quality and of its application in the local environment (law, regulation, permits, codes, standards)
• Conducting onsite inspections for various concrete and SMP work.
• Ensuring that every project team member has received adequate training of processes, tools and procedures applicable to meet project quality requirements.
Requirements
As the successful applicant you will possess a relevant qualifications including welding or a trade background. With substantial prior exposure within a construction environment in Australia you will take a "hands on role" in conducting audits and inspections in addition to directing your team. You will possess a combination of systems orientation with practical experience. With highly developed communication skills and previous experience developing Quality Management Systems in an EPCM environment, you will thrive in this challenging yet rewarding environment.
