Job Title: Haematologist required on NZ's North Island - ID 298/150
Description
A District Health Board on the North Island of New Zealand requires an experienced and committed Haematologist to work from their flagship hospital. Offering over 800 beds and accredited to the local university this hospital provides medical and surgical care to a diverse rapidly growing population of 460,000+. Your work will vary on a daily basis with other health centres in the region taking advantage of such a skilled Consultant, requiring your expertise and assistance when needed.
Working as a Haematologist here is a rewarding and challenging experience. The Haematology Service offers diagnosis, support and management to patients with malignant, coagulation and general haematology conditions. The department has in-patients, a chemotherapy day ward, a coagulation unit, haematology laboratory and blood bank, all located on-site. Participation in research is actively encouraged along with ongoing professional development. A leadership role may be possible for a suitable applicant and you will be actively encouraged to develop or pursue an area of interest.
Take in the spectacular views of your surrounds at city level or elevated on the mountainous skyline that envelops the region. Home to volcanic cones, lush rainforests, perfectly manicured parks and reserves, hiking trails and west coast beaches, you will almost forget that you are living in one of the most inhabited places on either island. No matter what you enjoy to do here, do it in peace and quiet while being relaxed and refreshed all year round.
