Job Title: Principal Health and Safety Specialist/Advisor
Description
Our client is a major financial institution who supports projects in over 30 countries and provides project financing for the financial sector and the real economy, both new ventures and investments in existing companies. It also works with publicly-owned companies to support privatisation, restructuring of state-owned firms and improvement of municipal services.
This newly created opportunity is to focus on project appraisal and monitoring of activities relating to H&S as well as community related impacts, in addition, ensuring a safe working environment assessing relevant hazards relating to each given sector.
The role will involve extensive travel which could be as high as 75% of the time to areas of the world which could be considered inhospitable. Therefore a high degree of flexibility is required with a broad experience of international travel and advice on a wide range of projects.
Candidates will need a strong background in international Health & Safety and experience in a broad range of sectors. Whilst the role is based in London, international candidates will be welcomed provided the criteria required can be met.
Language skills are an advantage, particularly Russian as well as the ability to influence in culturally sensitive areas of the world.
