This Practice is located in a Shire in the heart of the Great Southern Region of Western Australia, just north of the picturesque Stirling Range and 150kms from the coastal city of Albany, to the south.
The big variety of landscapes and climates in Western Australia means there is always plenty of sunshine, making it a perfect year-round destination. It is a land blessed with spectacular diversity where the deep reds of ancient interior rock formations contrast with the sparkling blue of the Indian and Southern Oceans and the lush greenery of the stunning southern regions. Western Australia is famous for its long days of sunshine, spotless blue skies and brilliant beaches.
Servicing a population of approximately 1500 people, this surgery's consultation hours are from 9.00am to 12.30pm and from 2.00pm to 5.00pm Monday to Friday excluding public holidays. On call services are provided, during weekdays, to a 9 acute bed hospital with a 24 hour emergency department and 8 bed modern aged care facility. Weekend and public holiday on call services are provided to the nearby hospitals, via a district wide roster system (1 in 5 weekends) involving doctors from the three townships.
This Medical Practice is seeking a suitably qualified general practitioner with emergency department/minor surgery skills to service the Shire’s population as per the above mentioned arrangements. The Shire can also offer the right applicant the choice of an attractive remuneration, accommodation and vehicle package or, alternatively, the opportunity to manage outright, their own solo, rural general practice in an already equipped medical facility.
