This small town is located 5 minutes from Queanbeyan and 15 minutes from CBD of Canberra. Immediate population is approx 10,000. With only approx 4.5FTE Drs in the area, the area is about 5.5 FTE short on the recommended ratio of population to GP of 1000:1. The town is listed as one of the highest income earning population bases in the Canberra and surrounding NSW areas.
The practice was newly built in September 2008 and is fully air conditioned and has the latest equipment. The practice is seeking a GP suitable for FRACGP or equivalent to work in DoWS with VR rebate. The billing is 80% private and 20% bulk billing. Payment is 60% of billings. Approx billings for a GP working 40 hours per week for 45 weeks per year is $500,000 – remuneration therefore approx $300,000 or $5,770/week. The practice hours are Mon – Fri 8am – 6pm with no on-call requirements.
