Our client is seeking to recruit a SENIOR ESTIMATOR who has excellent written communications skills as well as an ability to communicate well both with Senior Management and within the teams and who will:
• Provide detailed cost engineering services including work breakdown structures (WBS), budget allocation, commitment control, cost forecasting, actual cost and accruals, expenditure projections (cash-flows), earned value and variance analysis;
• Establish the WBS in conjunction with the Cost Manager;
• Prepare periodic detailed and summary costs, progress and forecast costs at completion and report throughout the life of the Project in conjunction with the Cost Manager;
• Co-ordinate with the Accounts Manager in relation to accruals and payment control;
• Provide timely advice on cost, progress and cost forecast;
• The Cost Engineering service shall work in close relation to the Estimating Service;
• Reconcile Cost Management System to the ledger
• Prepare out of cost close-out report at conclusion of the Project
Skills & Responsibilities:
• 5+ years working experience Cost Engineering on large mining and/or oil & gas projects.
• Detailed working knowledge of proprietary cost management systems and a working knowledge of accountancy systems such as SAP, Oracle and JD Edwards.
